Bryan's mugshot

About Bryan

Regionicity is led by Bryan Avila, PMP, a program and operations leader with deep experience across agri-food, applied innovation, education, workforce development, small business, and regional economic development. A native Californian born in San Diego and now based in Napa, Bryan has built his career across California’s agricultural, education, workforce, and regional economic-development systems, with extensive experience connecting partners throughout the North Bay and across the state.

Bryan’s career began in pilot-scale winery operations and applied research, where he managed experimental production systems, supported commercialization, and helped translate technical ideas into practical workflows. He later launched and managed California’s first bonded teaching winery at a community college, building an applied learning program that connected facilities, instruction, production, compliance, hospitality, employer engagement, and student career pathways.

His later work expanded into applied research coordination, agricultural workforce and apprenticeship development, sustainability, technical communications, and regional economic strategy. Through Regionicity, Bryan brings together consulting, applied initiatives, and public-facing writing to explore and advance regenerative economic development, with particular depth in agriculture and agri-food systems.

How I work

Bryan works comfortably across agriculture, agri-food manufacturing, small business, education, workforce development, and government. He is especially effective when an initiative requires someone to understand the technical work, organize the implementation, engage diverse partners, and maintain momentum from concept through execution.
